Lost Beads No Spacers
Various Lost beads hand-knotted on silk by ChristiAna Hideko
16-18” with gold chain
It may seem funny to some… Imagine me in my studio, attempting to make necklaces as fast as my little fingers can, but having muscle spasms in my fingers so very frequently I drop a bead and you can hear me shout (insert favorite expletive here). Anyone who does anything with beads drops beads. I know there is no way I’m going to find that bead. So I move on. Eventually I get to a point where I deep clean my studio, including the floor. I collect all my floor beads and keep them in a basket. Now I have a basket of beads that don’t naturally go together. They sit. And sit. And sit some more. Ever growing. But then I realized that these beads all had something that brought them together, they all were the leftovers, the dropped, the forgotten, the ones cast off for their imperfections. I was inspired to make these necklaces from my basket of beads. They are organic, whatever I pull out is what gets put on the necklace. There are semi precious, precious, pearls, and glass in the basket. They are perfectly imperfect. I hope you love them as much as I do.
Resulting in a beautiful random “Lost” Rainbow.
